Its odd being back here... Sometimes I feel like abandoning this old blog, but my sentimental side is really just made me come back...

The current console war

Well, we've moved up one ranking into the PS3 VS X BOX 360 VS WII generation.

Today, we talk about the Wii.

Nintendo has been taking a serious bashing from everywhere simply cause of the quirkiness, but what they don;t realize is that they actually hit on stuff that can let them recapture the industry despite Sony and Microsofts cash mountains.

They are on the closest thing to direct brain reading for the games industry, reasonably free control without joystick constriction.

The DS' stylus, the Wiimote! Oh... mere fenecing games and a house of the dead clone are barely scratching the surface of the potential...

Thats a very nice, reassuring phrase almost anyone can hear or would have heard at some point in our lives, that we know that if we get stuck in the mud somewhere later we know we'll have someone there to pull out our ass. Which of us wouldn't like it? Even I haven't had a human say that line to me before, although I know many hold these inclinations to me, thank God for that.

But what of God himself?

I'm always here for you.

Thats what he says in the place of that. And its an amazing difference indeed. It truly echoes that he is closer to us than our very breath, with us anytime. The "There" in the former means you have to get in trouble and wait for them to come help you get out. God's "Here" means in good, bad or thick and thin. Which no human can ever truley acomplish...

Competition's desperation.

Well, here we are, in the middle of the next level of the console war.

Needless to say, I refute taking any sides here, just stating observations.

One of the most famous lines from GTA:VCS was Reni going "I am through with Advertising, it is so morally bankrupt." Before shortly leaving the players with some rather disgruntling dialogue.

But isn't this so true? Competition has spread and since discrediting another companys products are disallowed in advertising, companies have resorted to seeding forums with people to spread discrediting information about their opposition. How filthy and under handed. EGM has already exposed how alarming this is, that a mere social board can be tunred into an advertisment point.

Even scarier is that Sony and Microsoft actually pay these infiltartors to conduct such disgusting acts on our online communities!

How? Is it so ingrained into us to get to the top that we must step over somebody else's head? Must the filthy side of human competition spread so rapant? I can only hope that one day people go to jail for doing things like this.
